The Cook Brown Works Manx Norton was originally shipped to Calcutta in Ceylon in 1949, where it was raced in a Wideline Frame trim in the 1950's. 1 of 4 Factory Works Nortons that were raced in the Asian Circuit.

The Manx Norton was ridden by 1 of the 4 leading riders who raced in the 1950's in Ceylon and Asia. Indeed many auction houses have claimed to have sold these bikes to collectors, but the early 1950's models appear to be missing. The Factory Works Card shows this was one of the early 4 Works Nortons shipped and owned by Cook Brown, part of the Hatton Bank. Obviously the sponsor.

AT some point the brakes were replaced with Triumph Models, which matches Zacky Dean changing the Manx Norton Engine for a triumph engine in 1955 but kept the original engine also.
