Engine: Manx Norton Works 30M

An Engine with History

  • Engine No. C11M 1451 was Built and dispatched on the 11th Feb 1948 at the Norton Factory.  
  • Shop Engine No. KM420
  • Tester. Cheshire
  • The engine was shipped by Towzer Kemsley & Millbourne on behalf of an unknown rider to ride in the Ceylon and Asian Circuit racing.
  • The Bike became known as the Brown (Cook Brown) which was a part of the Hatton Bank in Calcutta.
  • Their were only 4 Works Manx Nortons raced in the 1950's in Ceylon, and this was one of them.
